Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She held the post from 2021 until 2022. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015, and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki worked as an CNN political contributor between 2017 and 2020. Psaki began her career in the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack Both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was later named the press secretary's assistant in John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki was the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications, serving as press secretary to Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] It was speculated that she was to replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21] However, Josh Earnest was announced to succeed Carney on May 30th, 2014. In 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and stayed through the end of the Obama administration.
